I wasn’t even aware of a Gravatar form problem. Could you describe the problem or if you already have point me at the thread?

Ah, gotcha. I just gave up with that. The Avatars plugin now has a replacement options-discussion.php included in the download. I figured that was easier than getting people to make a hack.

Ok….hitting “reset” on my user avatar page seemed to get the errors to go away. Is there anything to that :wink: ?

The first two errors you were getting got tossed because $current_site wasn’t defined. Since all plugin files get included after $current_site is set this shouldn’t be a problem.

My guess is that either another plugin is mucking things up or there is a wpmu bug floating around.
Yep. Default avatars are served from gravatar.

It appears that the avatar plugin may have an issue with IE7:

Do note that also when you click elsewhere on the page, the size box reloads to be about a 1×1 pixel and the adjustments are lost.

edit: Personal avatar seems to work fine.

Small question: how come the default avatars were renamed? :smiley: I’d just got done replaceing them, now I have to rename them again.

In previous versions the files were names like “default_user_avatar_96.png” and “default_blog_avatar_96.png”. There are two reasons why it changes in the new version:

1) There really isn’t a single ‘default’ avatar anymore.

2) Both user and blog avatars use the same ‘mystery’ image.

To put it simply, the file names just didn’t fit anymore.

Weird.

I upgraded the plugin and the displayed avatars that were in place on a custom home page went from the correct ones back to the default.

Any thoughts?

edit: nevermind. wrong calls. At least one section works. now to find the other one. :smiley:

I finally got all mine working again by the simple task of renaming the old avatar folder and creating new ones. This managed to get everything back to square and I am just pulling the old ones in and adding them. Luckily I didn’t have very many users with avatars yet :wink:

I stand corrected as the “errors” are back if I am using the avatars in widgets. I think it is OK again with the comments on posts as I am not getting any errors there anymore. I am wondering if it has to do with using object-cache “file based”. Can anyone else confirm getting errors based off “undefined content” (cached ?) pages?

In follow-up to the cropping issue mentioned above, I am also seeing some issues with IE (both v7 and v6).

Mozilla seems to perform normally, but IE does not allow for the crop tool to be resized. The error on the page states that the “this.areaCoords.x2” is null or not an object..

So, looks like Cropper.js is the issue..

Has anyone else seen this?

Yep, I can confirm some issues with IE7 and cropping, I’m sure Andrew will take a look at it when he gets back next week.

James is having folks with firefox report the issue as well I believe on edublogs. Getting a browser reported is like pulling teeth some days.

I took a look myself but nothing stood out for me. My php experience with graphics and those functions is zero.
