I have a large install – based on a distributed model where our students add feeds (using UBC’s ‘add links’ plugin coupled with feed word press) to a sitewide tags generated blog.
At the moment I manually parse feeds (I have done 600+ in the last week or so – we have had). I like the dynamic – but would prefer that students add and parse their feed as registered users through their profile page.
That way the feed is attributed and self managed.
I don’t think this is a tough job and that it would be a very useful tool.
It really is the ‘dogleg’ in our whole strategy…
