Supporter Ads

Hi there everyone,

New here :slight_smile:

Basically I’ve downloaded and installed the supporter plugin. My first question is, can this be renamed in the dashboard and around the site? For example, naming it “Premium” instead of “Supporters”?

Also, is there a possibility to place an ad after the first post on each blog for those who are not supporters? I have played around with this and used the codes in the install text but I’m not getting anywhere. Could anyone possibly assist?

    I raised that question as well. (One of my clients wanted to call it “Ass Kissers”:wink: Andrew said that you would have to do it manually and replace the text. Don’t do it with a search and replace as in some places, you can’t change it without having to rename the files as well.

    If you change the actual function call that tests for supporter status (ie is_supporter) you’ll have to update some of the other plugins here as well.

    Yes but that’s been covered hundreds of times elsewhere on the net. Only difference I would do is the status check as mentioned up above.

    Um, looking at the percentages somewhere else, a better place my be in order to display that advert. But it’s up to you. (One of my mu installs places the advert on the post page at the upper left of the post. Using the 250 square advert.)

    It seems I was doing the correct thing when I was playing around earlier, just another article told me to do the wrong thing! Hence why I could not get it to work myself.
