Admin Bar CSS Settings Not Displayed in BP Social Theme Options

Hello,

I’m trying to work out or find a reason for the above problem.

I’m using BP Social 1.1.1 and am using the parent theme – not child. (is this a problem?)

Does anyone have a solution?

    the adminbar option only showed to primary blog (blog id=1)

    this is to prevent member blog user change the adminbar css when

    they also activate/used the bp-social theme

    using the parent or child either way shouldn’t have any problem..

    child theme more suitable for any editing tho…

    be sure to update to bp-social 1.1.2 for better browser compatibility

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    I have control over all blogs on my site, and am running buddypress from a different blogID. Can you tell me please which file I should edit to change the primary blog # to allow this css change?

    Also, i tried upgrading to 1.1.2 today and this changed both my admin bar formatting (css) and also the width of my 990px header image. It cut it back to about 300px wide. Previously the 990px image covered the My Account links on the right side of the header, which I liked. It meant that it would condition users to use ‘My Account’ in the admin bar for navigation.

    So anyway, I’ve switched back to 1.1.1.

    that should be the reason why the adminbar did not work as it

    supposed to be:slight_smile:….the adminbar was optimize for primary blog

    id=1 since it is a common setup in wpmu but in your case…

    you need to change

    _inc/includes/options-functions.php – line 503+

    where it showed

    <?php

    global $blog_id;

    if($blog_id == YOURBLOGID) { ?>

    and also the mu-plugins/bp-global-adminbar-css.php

    should be the same with the $blog_id

    thanks for the tips.

    I’ve tried edit the files but the changes I’ve made have forced the site into white screen mode. deleting and re-installing the themes restores to previous state – so all ok.

    The blog id I’m using for buddypress is blogID 19. In the bp-global-adminbar-css.php i changed every instance where there was reference to blogID 1 or blog_1. That didn’t work for me.

    For example

    if($blog_id == 19) { and ('blog_19_active_theme'); plus others.

    Any ideas?

    see if my track correctly so i can check out the problem.

    you have a wpmu/buddypress site..you allowed plugin for all blogs

    but only blog_id =19 activate the buddypress plugin right?

    what’s the status/content of blog_id=1…is it buddypress enable

    or disable?

    if enable, you just need to go to blog_id=1(mainblog) theme option

    to change the adminbar css to take effect on all across blog..currently the adminbar did not work for each blog….means you cannot style each blog with different adminbar style:slight_smile:

    – Yes, sitewide. Admin Bar for blog_id=19 is showing on all 19 blogs, which is working ok.

    – Yes, via settings in wp-config.php

    I think ‘disable’. Not sure what you mean here, but I have a different theme in use on id=1. The BP admin Bar from blog_id=19 is showing. (across all blogs)

    the AdminBar does work for each blog. My issue is with getting the admin bar css settings to work in the backend Theme Options on blog_id=19
