I logged in to admin and saw an update for 1.2 and selected to update, what a mistake. How do I go back to previous version. In both themes social and the default members, groups, forums and blogs are broken. I’m not sure what to do to fix it. I just became premium member 3-4 days ago….HELP I have new install of WordPress MU 2.9.1 and buddypress 1.2 the url is dapadoo.com heading to bed so I’ll be up about 8 to see suggestion for a fix

@dapadoo: You would need to check out the buddypress site to see about downgrading. Social is not updated to 1.2 yet unfortunately there was a forum post about what themes are and at the side of all themes you can view when you download what versions they support. We do expect it to be updated soon however Social currently doesn’t support BuddyPress 1.2.

This from buddypress.org may help you:

Upgrading from an earlier version of BuddyPress? No problem, please follow the instructions that match your situation.

BACKUP – this cannot be emphasized enough! Make a copy of your database and all files before upgrading. There have been major changes in the latest version of BuddyPress and you will want a copy of your existing setup to fall back on if needed.

    Upgrading from 1.1 to 1.2

    1. Deactivate any BuddyPress plugins and then deactivate BuddyPress.

    2. If you are not going to use the new default theme, please download, install and activate the BuddyPress backwards compatibility plugin.

    3. Upgrade BuddyPress automatically, or download BuddyPress and overwrite your existing copy.

    4. Delete “bp-default” and “bp-sn-parent” from your themes directory.

    5. If you are using your own custom theme from 1.1, you will need to add define( ‘BP_CLASSIC_TEMPLATE_STRUCTURE’, true ); to your wp-config.php file above the “stop editing” line.

I have not tested with the backward compatible plugin though so state a word of caution when using it.
