Multi-DB how do I see it works?

I´ve installed Muti DB on a relativly fresh 3.01 WP Network with just 4 Blogs. I split the db as mentioned in the instruction but it move all the db entries just to the xxx_global db. Is this okay?

I´m realy not shure.
