Recent post – is it possible to exclude main site

Hello,

I have a main blog where we post news updates and then our members also have separate blogs within the network.

Our news and updates are already on the front page of the site, is it possible to exclude the main blog post from the recent posts as this is simply duplicates what we already have. Also we update more than our members which means our post will dominate the dipslay.
