Just had an idea

I just read in the forum that there’s a guy who liked wp directory but needs it to work with buddypress. This gave me an idea. I also would like this directory to work with buddypress and I’m sure there are many others too. So what if you setup a system to get all those interested to contribute financially to the development of the upgrade. This would drastically cut down development costs for individuals.

What do you think?

    @webezy – definitely appreciate the idea, and it’s something we’ve thought about, but really the practical aspects of getting that done – not to mention the multiple stakeholders and related complexities, generally means that we like to prioritize development based on user requests, community backing for them, perceived needs and alike.

    The best approach I think would be for you to put a description of how you want this to work up in the feature request forum and ask for +1s from members.
