Modifying Delivery Time Schedule – AutoMessage Plugin

0

Hi Barry,

Great plugin . . . some we can most definitely use with us creating an average of 20 new user sub sites a day.

Have one request . . . Is there a way to add delivery times to be less than 1 day. We like the immediate but then we would like to be able to send out another message with in a few hours say 2 hours then 6 hours etc. Would it be possible to add that feature.

We develop the blog sub sites and then we contact our members to first tell them the site is up, then to provide a support message with additional help info ( usually 1 hour later) then we provide them with a step by step process for getting started with the membership ( usually with in 4 hours ) finally we begin the process of teaching our members what needs to be down with part two of our membership ( within 12 hours).

This is done with each new member once and then they are added to our auto responder.

Can the changes be made?

I don’t know about the specific capabilities of the plugin, but can I say that as a user, I would want to recieve the support message and step by step immediately, and the other email could come the next day. 12 hours later, for most people, will be the middle of the night, assuming they buy during work hours.

    Hi James,

Well if we are going to get specific then it would be logical to set the message time based on geo location. That way if a person is in AU the message would send out based on their time zone even if you are New York time zone. Also the idea of sending out on business hours would be great to have. Maybe allow the ability to send weekdays and weekend as the option. Another idea would be to allow you to enter holidays into a scheduler so that you could identify non sending days.

    Great plugin . . .

    I have another idea . . .

The plugin works when you create a new blog or a new user. Does that apply to creating new blogs as sub domains in multi-site and what happens if the sub domain is manually created each time for the new member. Would the functionality still be the same?

So the idea would be a type of dashboard in automessage that would allow the super admin to manage say 5, 10, 1000 sub domain sites and allow you to customize the message actions and delivery based on several criteria like different membership types free, paid, bronze, gold, premium etc. It could also give the super admin more flexibility on managing different welcome messages based on group types.
