How do I remove the updates notification ad?

Clearly I am well aware of the wpmudev dashboard/updates plugin (and everything else here) but I have it disabled on this site because it was (in conjunction with all the other plugins and multisite itself) causing internal server errors and ram allocation errors (yeah I know my hosting is mostly to blame, and I’m fixing it asap) but how do I make the little admin warning message at the top that says:

“Easily get updates, support, and one-click WPMU DEV plugin/theme installations right from in your dashboard – install the free WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin. (find out more)”

Hmm… Thanks for the fast replies everyone… These options are more work than it’s worth for my current situation, since I’m working with other people who are interested in learning about web development and wordpress development, not typical “clients” as I do not openly provide development services, I just do the work on sites I’ve partnered with others on. So I don’t have to worry about clients getting their panties in a bunch, it’s just a little tedious as it takes up space at the top of the dashboard and pushes down the stuff we’re actually using. Why isn’t there a dismiss option on it like other notifications that go there?

The fact the API limits have been increased helps as it won’t matter for me to have the updates plugin running, except for the fact that it’s the #1 culprit in crapping out my hosting accounts and returning an internal server error and or ram allocation error. Makes sense, since it’s a very graphically appealing and comprehensive plugin running regular communication between my sites and your servers…

I will just have to wait, and hope, that you guys fix this problem, as it is a problem or bug, not a feature that helps.

However if I do have it going on a client site in future, or when I sell the sites off, I will come back to read this so I can go edit the code before letting customers login to the dashboard. *here’s where my earlier suggestion comes into play, about a feature to mark a site for ownership transfer so it sets up a trial API key and earns me a commission if the new site owner pays for a membership here.

Well there still doesn’t seem to be an easy solution for this but we’re working around it. Unfortunately though sometimes that means using other plugins from elsewhere since some situations and some clients, just won’t go over well leaving messages in their admin panel we can’t remove.
