Problem when using Snapshot Pro

It backs up the databases fine, then when it gets to “files”, it stops and after a couple of minutes this error comes up:

“The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Your administrator may not have enabled CGI access for this directory.”

I did a search here but did not find this. From a Google search I saw that it must have something to do with my .htacess file, but I couldn’t find the solution for fixing it. Any ideas?

UPDATE: Just tried it again with the same subdomain and got this error:

“An unknown response returned from Snapshot backup attempt. Aborting. Double check Snapshot settings.”

    Hello @Jason

    Welcome to WPMU community!

I hope you are well today and thanks for asking the question.

Would you please try to restore except the media files first? Then import just the media files?

Also, could you confirm if there is any very large file in the uploads folder?

    Please let us know.

    Cheers

    Ash

    Hi Ash,

To be clear this is on a multisite wordpress install. I successfully backed up the main domain. When I tried to back up the first subdomain, I ran into these errors. I have nothing to restore because nothing for this subdomain was successfully backed up.

There is nothing very large in the specific directory.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Hello @Jason

I hope you are well today.

Would you please download the backup in your local desktop, unzip and check if there are files and sql file?

Also, from settings would you please change the “Select Compression Option”, take another backup and check?

    Please let us know.

    Cheers

    Ash
