Problems since downloaing your plugins

Hello,

I have encountered a number of problems since downloading a free trial of your plugin. Firstly I used the asset compression plugin and then ran a site audit on SEMrush and it produced thousands of errors stating that the Java and CSS etc had not been minified etc etc. The plugin told me that it had successfully optimised the above so I am most disappointed that it has done this. Why did it show up as 100 if it had not done anything?

It also changed the font and appearance of my blog to more basic fonts. Now that I had disabled your plugin this has gone back to normal. Which option caused this problem so I know not to check it?

Also, if I undownload Smush pro, will all my images go back to being un-optimised? Since using your pro features to smush lots of posts, my site speed has not changed, which is a primary reason for downloading.

Can you help with the above?

    Please clarify, are you referring to the Hummingbird's Asset Optimization feature? After enabling this feature, please make sure that the site's cache and the browser's cache are purged. I see the plugin is not installed on your site, would you please install it again and activate this feature so we could have a closer look at the report and see what can be improved?

    Please note, you're using W3 Total Cache plugin for minification and it is not advisable to use more than one optimization plugin because it can cause issues. JS and CSS files are already minified by this plugin, so the Hummingbird plugin doesn't minify already minified files.

    Not all files can be minified, it depends a lot on how they were developed in the first place and in combination with files from other plugins. Asset Optimization needs to be approached with caution and patience.

    To locate which file can't be minified, please go to Hummingbird > Asset Optimization and unselect minified file one at a time, save the changes and every time check the front end for changes. Once the font will be back, you will know which was the last files that were un-minified. Please see the screenshot below:

    Currently based on your WP Smush setting "Smush my original full-size images" is deactivated, so the original images were not optimized. After removing the plugin you can regenerate all thumbnails using this plugin:

    I've checked your site on Google Page Speed Insight and there are no images that need to be optimized, except two PNG images that are coming from an external source.

    If "Smush my original full-size images" will be enabled, please consider enabling "Make a copy of my full size images" as well, so the original images can be restored after compression.
