[Hosting] Restart Server

My CPU seems to be pegged at 100%. The server is not responding. Is it possible to reboot my server?

    Hello Bryan,

I hope you are doing great and thank you for giving us time to check this deeply for you.

After checking things, we spot that there was no caching ON on the site. A CPU normally has to process multiple things like NGINX, PHP, MYSQL, Netdata & Backups which is a lot for it to do.

I went ahead and activated the Hummingbird Caching which has reduced almost all the load on the site as the load on the PHP/ MySQL services has been decreased massively which makes the server function properly now.

Having a caching plugin reduces the load on PHP & MYSQL services which makes the server has less load. There is also no need for the server restart too as of now.

Feel free to hit back here if you have any doubts or need any help further.

    Regards,

    Prathamesh

    Hello Bryan,

Thank you for the update here. While I checked it the last time, I saw that the CPU usage was almost 100% and Hummingbird was installed but the Caching was not ON which I went ahead and turned on after which I spot massive drop in the CPU usage.

Also, the site seems to be fully functional as of now. The memory and CPU usages are normal as of now. Things are great to go. If you see any considerable rise in the CPU usages, please feel free to hit back on this thread and we will check that again. As the CPU usages are normal after I monitored is for more than 20 minutes, it would difficult to replicate the issue if there is any and find a cause of that too.

Looking forward to hearing from you on it.

    Regards,

    Prathamesh
