[Smush Pro] Missing images in web pages using Smush Pro

Images cannot be loaded in some pages using Smush Pro and the CDN activated.
I.e. in the page:
https://sharedvision.eu/2019/01/14/fatturazione-elettronica-sdi/
there are 2 images missing.
One of them ahs this address : https://390982.smushcdn.com/358767/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Gaetano_Salvioli-1.jpg?size=300×150&lossy=1&strip=1&webp=1

and from this address you get this error:
{“success”:false,”data”:”Error: CWebp was unable to optimise image, result:255 File: \/tmp\/smush_NW3IE8″}

Could you please help me to understand what’s happening? If I disable Smush Pro everything works fine

Regards

Carlo

    Hey Carlo De Cristofaro

I hope you’re doing find today and thank you for your question!

    Could you, please, try something?

First, please edit those missing images: in Media Library you can edit the image so just crop or resize them e.g. by 1 pixel (that’s difference small enough to be “unnoticeable” by visitor) and save.

Then, after doing that, clear all the caches on the site and go to “Smush Pro -> Settings” page in your site’s back-end, scroll it all the way down and click on “Update Api Status” button.

Give it a go,k please, and let me know if it worked. Just make sure, though, to follow these steps exactly in this order. If it doesn’t help, we’ll investigate the issue further.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Carlo De Cristofaro

Thanks for letting me know that it’s working now!

I’m not sure what the problem was though. Since I don’t have access to your site, I didn’t make any changes there and I don’t see any information about any changes being made on our end. However, there’s been some updates pushed to The Hub meanwhile and even though they seem not related that might actually have affect any temporary caching on our end and/or improve communication with The Hub.

Anyway, please keep an eye on these images and let’s see how it goes and if the issue happens again, let me know here, please, and we’ll investigate it further then.

    Best regards,
    Adam
