[Hustle Pro] Hustle – Lazyloaded Images

Hi there WPMUDEV

I just had an online support chat with Pratamesh regarding lazyloaded images with longer file names no loading on the dispaly. He mentioned he was going to open a ticket as I did quite some testing from his side but the chat got dropped before we could finalize things so I’m just creating this ticket to follow up should more information be required from my side.

In the testing done, a default theme was implemented and the issue stil existed when Hustle was active. With Hustle inactive images with longer file names loaded fine so it seems to be a problem with the plugin somehow.

In the long file naming convention I included the image resolution which lengthened the file names and I just wanted to know if I should revise the file naming convention which lead to this.

Ticket revision: It has nothing to do with the file naming I see as now the shorter named files are also not loading.

I also started a chat with Aditya before the chat with Pratamesh (which also got dropped) regarding this and he mentioned that the URL for the image was the problem https://www.seductful.xxx/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/seductful_xxx-complete-logo_medium.png%20alt=Seductful%20complete%20logo%20-%20Medium

as I also noticed the ALT for the image in question was now “404” instead of the ALT specified in the WordPress media gallery of “Seductful complete logo – Medium”

The page in question has been generated via the Themify Builder but the same image is being used in the Branda – Front-end – DB Error Page https://www.seductful.xxx/wp-content/db-error.php and Site Status pages https://www.seductful.xxx/wp-content/blog-suspended.php https://www.seductful.xxx/wp-content/blog-deleted.php and are displaying correctly.

    Hi there WPMUDEV

I see there is a ticket open on my account regarding Hustle and ALT tags “[Hustle Pro] Hustle Image ALT tags” but I can’t recall if Hustle was adding tags or not and if it’s now just somehow adding the wrong ALT tags.

    Hi there WPMUDEV

Just an update as while working on the site I notice that with Hustle currently disabled, the cookie notice is not loading the logo image which put doubt to the fact that Hustle is causing the problem.

But that said, I’m now going to refrain from more updates as Adam and I noticed a while back that every-time I comment/update on a ticket, it gets moved to the back of the queue and it “never” receives attention. LOL

    Hello Seductful ,

I’ve checked the issue on this page https://www.seductful.xxx/404-2/ and I can see there is something weird going on there, as you also noticed when Hustle popup is active.
I’ve made a test with your theme, 404-page build in Themify and Hustle active and I couldn’t replicate this issue with the image not loading and the change of the image’s alt.
On my site image is loading correctly with LazyLoad+Hustle Popup.
So for this issue, there might be something else going on – can you leave Hustle and Smush with current theme active and disable other plugins and see if the issue is gone?

Just an update as while working on the site I notice that with Hustle currently disabled, the cookie notice is not loading the logo image which put doubt to the fact that Hustle is causing the problem.

I have checked this image and it doesn’t exist – when CDN is disabled, image is still not showing and when opening it in the browser it throws 404 error, you can see it here:
    https://www.seductful.xxx/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/seductful_xxx-website_header_700x205-300×88.png
So you will need to replace it with an image that does exist.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi there WPMUDEV (Kasia)

“I have checked this image and it doesn’t exist – when CDN is disabled, image is still not showing and when opening it in the browser it throws 404 error, you can see it here:

Apologies for this, it happened with the renaming of all the image files to exclude the resolution suffix to shorten the file names (which turned out to not be the problem but now the naming convention has been changed so I’ll stick with it) and I neglected to update the cookie notice’s image URL and when I saw it not loading I just assumed it’s related to the other problem without checking. I fixed that and it’s now working. SORRY!!! ;-/

I’ll disable all the plugins as requested except Hustle, Smush and the current theme and test to see if the issue is still present for the image on the 404 page and report back shortly.

    Hi there WPMUDEV (Kasia)

I deactivated all plugins but kept the current theme and the 404 page loaded fine with the image showing.

I then activated just Smush and hustle with the current theme

and checked the 404 page to find no image loaded

    as requested.

    Hi Seductful

    Hope you are doing well.

I found the Theme Image script was causing the conflict.

Disabling this feature and making the theme load the WordPress images sizes will avoid this problem.

I tried to replicate the problem on my lab site using the same theme and the same Builder but I couldn’t replicate the same behaviour, it works fine when Smush and Hustle are enabled.

As the Smush Pro will use the Auto Resize under the CDN, you can keep the Theme Image Script disabled.

Let us know if you need any further help on this.
    Best Regards

    Hi there WPMUDEV (Patrick)

I noticed thing were working and hence I posted the previous reply just requesting an update. Now that I know what the issue was, I’ll hopefully remember and keep the Themify image scripting disabled in future.

THANKS Patrick!!!, and WPMUDEV obviously
