[Defender Pro] File Scanning

Hi,
Did a file scan with Defender plugin and the issues found were from Snapshot and your old Google Analytics plugin. See screenshot. I don’t have the GA plugin and I guess it was rebranded to Branda? I removed Snapshot since I have hosting backup. Just wanted to let you know.

    I hope you are doing good today.

    We are aware of those issues and those are false positive and you can ignore it. Defender checks the function which can be used for a bad purpose.

    This was already passed to our Defender developers to include an update to skip those alerts from our plugins.

    The other two false positives showing are from Advanced Ads and Jetpack. See screenshot. Mentioned to Advanced Ads and he replied back:

    Thanks for reporting this issue. This piece of code interprets the PHP code in the “plain text and code” ad type when the checkbox to run PHP in this ad unit is enabled. So please don’t worry, this is a false positive. I would like to get in touch with your hosting to explain them this code and to ask to exclude it from their scans. Can you bring me in touch with them or just name the hosting company, please? Best regards, Joachim

    Please note there is a possibility that we will be not able to implement all false positive alerts for all plugins as this could be very risky. However, I will pass that additional information to our developers. We will post an update here as soon as more information is available.
