Images disappeared after enabling lazy loading

My logo and images on the right sidebar are not appearing when I enable Smush Lazy loading. I tried to exclude the CSS classes but that too didn’t work.

    Hello David Shrein

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

I checked the site and tried to pinpoint the reason for this but I must say I wasn’t able yet. What is bothering me the most here though is that Lazy Load doesn’t even seem to be able to properly exclude those images even if a valid, existing class used by the image is specified in exclusions.

I also noticed that while the images in content seem to be served in pretty much the same way (if it comes to HTML img tag markup), they are not affected.

I believe it would be worth running a full conflict test on site to see if something is interfering there but since it’s a live site I didn’t do it. Would you be able to conduct such test?

    The process is as follows:
    – temporarily switch to Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Twenty theme and disable all plugins except for WPMU DEV Dashboard and Smush (with Lazy Load enabled)
    – if the images are not gone, start enabling theme and plugins back one by one each time checking for the issue – when it starts happening again, we can assume that the last thing enabled right before that would be the main culprit so we would take it from there.

Note: It’d be highly recommended to get a full backup of the site before doing the test, just in case.

Would you run such test and let me know about results, please?

    Kind regards,
    Adam
