Need help on Single sign-on

I am logged in as super admin on my multisite network. I am also a user of all of my subsites. But when I go to any of other site’s dashboard it asks me to login. Also, I am using Defender masked login, but when it asks me to login, it shows wp-admin and so there is no login form. Can you please help?

    Hi Azurite

I hope you’re well today and thank you for contacting us.

What is supposed to be happening on Multisite is that being logged-in as a super-admin you should be able to access all the sites (main site and all the sub-sites), regardless whether you are additionally an (admin)user on them or not, but:

    – not all the sites will be listed under “my sites” but only those that you actually additionally are an admin of

    – sites that do have their own domains mapped will ask and should ask for an additional login (but not other sites), it should be enough to login once per session though

    – since you are using login masking in Defender the login form at /wp-admin is not and won’t be available so that’s why you have no login form when you got to sub-site; you need to manually replace the /wp-admin with your masked login to get the login form and from there you should be able to login using your super-admin login and password.

However, while that login requirement is actually expected in case of sub-sites that have their own domains mapped, it shouldn’t be required for all other sub-sites unless there’s something else interfering.

That said, I would like to take a closer look but due to the nature of the issue I would need much more direct access for checking that, testing it more and, hopefully, providing a fix. Would you be able to provide me with full access credentials then?

Note: Don’t post your login details in this ticket.
