how to set dns to allow subsites to use www

Hi,
The main domain can be found by user entering www or not
the subsites if you enter http://www.subsites.com will go to error page
I assume this is a dns record – I tried to resolve – I get the browser error :

This site can’t be reached

    Hello tara ,

    I can see that your subsites have mapped custom domain and those domains are added in the Hosting Panel. What I see is that those mapped domains don’t have www version added. When you add a domain to Hosting panel, you can select box to also add the www version of it:

    [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

    So right now you can add only www versions of the domains to the hosting panel. And that should make www version working correctly.

    As for the DNS records, using those 3 that you can find under the Domains list is enough to have working www version.

    UX confusion – I was trying to add the domain through the DNS add domain main menu – not Hosting/Domain / add domain submenu –

    and when adding a domain through DNS menu got this error:

    “Only apex domains (such as mysite.com) and not subdomains (such as subdomain.mysite.com) can be added to Domains.”

    FIX : – maybe add info to that error ::::: add:::: you may want to try add your domain in your hosting menu

    but then again maybe I am the only wandering lost user — so many menus and new information :slight_smile:
