[The Hub Client] Merge WP users with WPMU users

Hi,

If I am correct right now people need 2 accounts :
– 1 for WordPress stuff (orders, posts, comments, downloads…)
– 1 for the Hub

This seems quite hard to understand for user and to manage in the UX.

It would be great to be allowed to merge these 2 accounts to sell other stuff in Woocommerce, manage tickets / posts, have the forum.

    Hello there

    I’m not sure how feasible that would be or what should be a better approach to implement it, I’ve already created a new feature request for the Hub team to further consider though.

    May I ask, what would be the best solution for you? Getting a list with all WP users of a connected site, whilst in the New Client modal in Client Billing? Please advise!

    We are looking at syncing up users / managing users through The Hub / The Hub Client… but the primary cases for this are:

    1. Purchasing domains, hosting packages, templates and other web services… which we are going to create

    2. Offering integrated support (as you mentioned on the other ticket Antoine ) which I think we could do by providing a ticket system style plugin – like https://github.com/wpmudev/support-system – integrated with THC

    Even *if* we were to provide a user management tool via The Hub / The Hub Client then you / we would still have to work on custom integrations for our stuff.

    I suppose we could just force create a WP user when someone signs up at The Hub Client and then keep that in sync with The Hub Client Usres :thinking:

    There’s an easy / simple solution here… somewhere :D

      It is indeed related to my other post because connecting WP user accounts with WPMU ones will actually let us build features outside WPMU Hub and display them all together.

      I am actually building my own ticketing system based on WP posts right now but will check the support system you sent.
      I know you have great projects and what you do will be just fine ! but letting us merge our WP features with the WPMU hub would give more flexibility I think

      For now, the best solution I am thinking would be to manage users within WP. Directly on the user page, be able to merge this user with an existing WPMU user, or to create a WPMU user from this WP user.

        About integrated support / ticket system.
        Since you are using Livechat I looked into that and their other software ‘Helpdesk’.
        I talked to their team and they told me they are working on a customer portal (for client to see their ticket and interact). The feature is already in beta.

        This could be a good integration to manage tickets (and will also allow us to manage our emails within their software which would be great).
        Their is also an integration between LiveChat and Helpdesk to create tickets from a conversation.
