[The Hub] API/Webhook to automatically add new registered users to the “Hub Client & Billing”

Is it possible to add an API/ Webhook to allow us to add a new client under the “Client & Billing” section on Hub when new user signup to our WordPress website?

    James Farmer did say that when the huge effort on The Hub and other priorities started to slow down that the company would consider options for APIs. The expected “lull” was forecasted to perhaps be sometime around the new year. That’s extremely vague and non-committal, and I won’t hold anyone to such statements. I’m just happy that the topic is recognized and that it will receive some consideration.

    islem Binous Welcome to the party! I bug WPMU DEV about APIs all the time. That’s not their focus, but they understand the value. I’ve bugged them about it less since James confirmed some intent.

    I hope when DEV is starting meetings for the next big update to The Hub that they include some of us for feedback about APIs. I know they can’t make any promises. I just want to see client input into their process. I trust they’ll do what they can.

    Side note: I sincerely appreciate the clear and direct statement from Zafer – compared to the common, overly kind and encouraging “great idea, we’ll pass this to the developers” response that usually tells me a suggestion has gone to hell and will never come back. :)

    I’m a new member of WPMU Dev. It has the potential of being an unbelievable CRM and maintenance solution. But due to the limitation of the Hub, sadly I had to move to other workflows which has culminated in also requiring this feature: creating users via API. I’m now using WordPress to sign up and manage members. And if something like this was unlocked, it would help create a seamless user experience.

    However, I don’t see this happening anytime soon as there was no API for the Hub when this ticket was opened and there isn’t one over a year later, so it’s probably best that I moved on.

    But I am looking forward to the day this gets added!
