Hey there – I didn’t know if I should send this with the Reseller testing feedback since it’s all Hub Client stuff I’m running into while playing with the setup, so I figured I would post it here. This is just a list of some feedback I’ve made notes of while I’m thinking about my clients’ experience once Reseller is live. Some of it is stuff I’ve mentioned before but I couldn’t find my original post and this seemed easier:
– Plugins & Themes menu item still shows in the vertical menu sidebar, even when they are both disabled for the user role.
– Would like option to disable *all* links from the Hub to the WP admin plugin pages – for example the little gear icons on each of the widgets on the plugin overview dashboards and the info that turns blue and links there. I have groups of clients who do not have access to plugin settings.
– Would like option to remove “Your Reports” widget from Hub dashboards, since I’m the only one who should get reports for clients whose sites I manage.
– Whitelabel issues in the “?” tooltips – for example on the Defender dashboard, the Firewall widget has Defender’s name in it.
– Would like option to hide “recommended services” – they are not always applicable, and sometimes inaccurate (i.e., they display even if I already have that service active).
– I’ve mentioned this before but I would like option to completely remove the Configs tab, as again I have groups of clients who cannot modify plugin settings, and the tab is empty anyway when it’s disabled for the role.
– Would like the option to disable “Quick Setup” options and banners – same reason as above, but this is more important because when I tested it, it did look like it would allow the user to apply configs, even with the config options disabled for that user role.
– I LOVE that we can now clear the Hummingbird cache from the Hub, but it would be helpful if this option were more obvious – listed on the Tools page with the other caches (for hosted sites), and a big, obvious “clear cache” button on the Hummingbird dashboard page. It’s difficult to find the link right now. And a single “clear all caches” button somewhere would be amazing, for a 1-click way to clear the object, static, and HB caches.
– It would be cleaner if the table on the hosting overview adapted to the role permissions – for example if the user does not have access to the SSH/SFTP tab, then the SSH/SFTP info shouldn’t display in the table.
– I know there’s been some mention of possibly allowing us to do more with the styling in the Hub client, but if there’s one change that it would be nice to have sooner, it would be the option of a horizontal logo/wordmark in the header.
