[The Hub] Add a prompt on the hub site creation process for naming it

Hello, I would like to recommend that when we create a site, it asks us for the Name (not just the URL) as well, so it’s clear right from the outset that each site has a name that is independent of the URL. This will help to think twice before giving a name that will become the site ID.

    This is the screen that shows up while trying to create the site:
    [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

    It does mention that it would be the site URL that you’ll enter. Doesn’t the above help in covering your requirement?

    Please advise what further improvements you are looking forward to regarding this so that we could check about improving the workflow.

    Hi,

    No, that’s not the issue. After we’ve added a site, we can use the “Rename” option to change it. However, I was under the impression that “rename” meant “change the URL”. I spoke to your support staff and they advised that the “Site ID” never changes (i.e. this is the URL we use when we create the site), but the “Name” can be changed at any time.

    Therefore I’m suggesting that, in addition to the URL field, there should be an optional “Site name” field so we can give it a custom name from the very start. This would not only save time later, but also make it clear that each site can have a custom name, not just the auto-generated name based on the original URL.

    Hi Grant ,

    Thanks for explaining further regarding this. What you have mentioned is the current workflow ie you can only rename the site title/name and not the actual URL on the Hub side.
