[SmartCrawl Pro] Page Builder Support for SmartCrawl (Elementor, Brizy, Bricks)

4

A vast majority of users are using Page Builders as their main way of building pages for their websites (including me). It would be amazing to add the smartcrawl interface to page builders, similar to how SEOPress does it.

Here’s a video of exactly what I mean but with SmartCrawl:

    Hi taropaa ,

There isn’t any one-step workflow reading this since all major builder has custom workflow and hence the SEO settings are available in the standard Gutenberg editor for now. It’ll require working on integrating every builder one by one and also maintaining the compatibility for each update for these free and premium builders which can be complex to maintain.

However, I will make sure to bring this further to our SmartCrawl team’s attention so that they can research and investigate the possibility of whether such a feature could be considered in future.

    Best Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

Thank you for the quick reply!

You could do a simplified approach, where the SEO options load via a floating element. The floating element would display on the front end of the website and on click would load a modal with the plugins options. This could be a good first step in that direction.

You could also conduct a poll to find out what page builders are most popular amongst the plugins users and go from there.

The current workflow of let’s build the page and content in the page builder then switch to smartcrawl to run the analysis then let’s switch back to change the content then back etc wastes a lot of time for your users. Not to mention users that are looking for an SEO plugin with this feature specifically.

    Hi there,

I’ve been using Yoast SEO for years but had been wanting to compare Smartcrawl for myself. Earlier this year, I decided to test it on a new site of my own.

I’m using Beaver Builder – have been for many years now – and when I tried Smartcrawl with it, it wouldn’t read the content of the page built in Beaver Builder and, therefore, couldn’t perform the SEO analysis.

I must confess, I didn’t even consider switching back and forth between WordPress and Beaver Builder, but now you mention it, it just sounds like a major inconveninece that I don’t have time for.

Anyway, I went back to Yoast SEO because it works perfectly with Beaver Builder. I do recall a time when it didn’t – but that was fixed very quickly. And as far as I’m aware, it also works with many other page builders. I have one client I’m working with and am now hosting his site, although I didn’t build it, which is why it uses Divi. But Yoast SEO works with Divi, as well.

I guess Yoast are either spending the time to integrate each page builder indvidually, or they’ve found a way to scan the html of the site to read the page content, which is what my SEO platform does. It seems to work with the majority of websites and website systems by identifying the type of content it ‘reads’ within the html on the page.

Anyway, I’m sure there must be a way that this can be done and if WPMUDEV want to capture a bigger chunk of that market, they’re going to have to compete with the likes of Yoast.

As I said, I’d love to compare Smartcrawl and would definitely change if it turns out to be as good as it appears. But not until it works with Beaver Builder, I’m afraid.

    Regards,

    Steve
