[Smush Pro] Block some bots on Smush CDN to reduce bandwidth usage

2

Hello,

Using the Smush CDN, I discovered that sometimes, a very large amount of bandwidth is used.

I suggest:
1) be able to check logs to discover the source of the bandwidth usage (I guess that it is caused by bots like “googlebot-image”).
2) be able to block some bots (same feature available in WP Defender PRO).

Thank you.
Dimitri

    Hello Dimitri
I hope you are doing well today.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable suggestion with us.
It looks like an outstanding feature to have:
1- Detailed Logs of the Smush Pro CDN usage.
2- Block IPs (if the logs show a large number of requests or high Bandwidth usage)

It could be a good starting point for a dashboard where Smush Pro CDN could be managed and detailed reports generated.

I’ve forwarded your request to our development team for consideration. I want to ensure you understand that while we’re keen on exploring all possibilities that can enhance our platform, the implementation of new features involves a thorough evaluation process.

This includes assessing the feasibility, the complexity of development, and how it aligns with our current roadmap and priorities. Due to these factors, we can’t provide an exact ETA.

Please rest assured that your request is now in the hands of our development team, and your input is greatly appreciated and taken seriously.
