Current Limitation:
When I correct a broken link, it immediately shifts to “Edited” status with the tooltip: “The link will be removed from the list during the next scan if it’s been fixed in all instances.” At this point, the link becomes locked with the message “The link has been edited already” – preventing any further modifications before the next scan confirms the fix worked.
Requested Improvements:
Re-editing Capability: Allow users to modify links multiple times while they remain in the “Edited” status – essential for iterative fixes or when typos occur during the initial edit.
Undo Function: Implement an “Undo” button that lets users revert changes until the next scan runs – saving time when mistakes happen.
Edit History: Create a historical log of all link modifications with timestamps and the ability to revert to previous versions – providing crucial audit capabilities for teams managing large sites.
Why This Matters:
These enhancements would significantly reduce frustration when managing broken links across large websites, eliminate waiting for scans to complete before fixing errors in edits, and provide better transparency for collaborative teams working on website maintenance.
