2FA is not being active

When I try to activate 2FA without defender, I can’t activate it. I am getting an error.

      Hi Richard ,

We do understand you, and I’m pinging our developer regarding the status of the issue and will get back to you once we get further feedback regarding the status asap.

I gave a quick test in the staging site credentials you have shared, I could notice that even when the 2FA feature was showing as not active, I could still enable 2FA via the user profile in the staging site.

Could you please double-check whether there is any server-side cache enabled in your server and if possible temporarily disable it to see whether it works in your Live site.

I’ll be bringing the observations what I noticed on your website to the developer too to see what further could be looked upon. Will keep you posted asap.

      Regards,
      Nithin

    Hi Richard ,

It seems like the staging site shared is heavily cached, even when I disable Defender Pro plugin, and clear the SG cache. The Defender plugin appears as activated.

We have applied the patch in the staging, but due to the cache cannot confirm it’s working or not. Please do give the attached patch a try, and let us know if you still notice any anomalies once the cache is cleared via the server-side.

You can try the following patch, by replacing the attached file under:
    /wp-content/plugins/wp-defender/app/module/advanced-tools/model/auth-settings.php

Please make sure to clear object cache, and browser cache once the patch is applied. Please do let us know how that goes so that we could check further if needed.

    Regards,
    Nithin
