Adding plugins that require DB changes AFTER installing Multi-DB

I have been trying to work out what plugins I need before installing Multi-DB, figuring that this is a wise course of action.

That said, I have to assume there will be occasions to add plugins that will require DB table additions, perhaps.

In brief, how is that done when I’ve got, say, 256 DBs?
