Admin Menu Editor Pro

Why is this plugin (Admin Menu Editor Pro) not inluded to WPMUDev plugins ? It is made by Inscub after all?

I find it a bit frustrating to first pay for premium membership here and then need to buy this seprately as well.

This would be a good addition to the branding package offered at WPMUDev.

Nice plugin in any case

Whilst I kind of agree with what you are saying, just the play devils advocate, should we expect the same of Microsoft, should they be include Office (I’m not a microslow user) or if you buy a Nokia or Blackberry should they be forced to include all of their business model, cases, softwares, car kits, etc. If you bought broadband from one company and they also own a mobile network should it be expected they also give you that included.

The point I’m making is the sites are different, the product (on a whole, not the specific plugin), the business model is different, the parent company is the same.

That said, I would like to see it included here as well so I’m not disagreeing.

    From their about page:

    An App store for WordPress

WP Plugins is a revolutionary WordPress project, aimed at improving the quality, support for and standard of plugins.

Think of us as an App Store, just like for the iPhone, except for WordPress, WPMU and BuddyPress.

If you are after a plugin, you’ll be happy to know that we assess, check and scrutinize every plugin on the site to ensure they are of the highest quality.

If you are a plugin author, we offer you the best deal you’re ever going to see, check out how you can submit and make a living out of writing and supporting your plugins.

    How does WP Plugins work?

Simply browse the site to find the plugins you want to use and then download them by creating an account and paying the plugin price through PayPal.

You’ll get downloads and support of the plugin for the next 7 days, followed by ongoing upgrades and support for whatever the plugin author has seen fit to charge

And of course, you can canceel at any time and npt pay for ongoing upgrades and support – and as every WP Plugin is 100% GPL it’ll work regardless!

Only difference is that Apple App store is not GPL like WordPress. According to WordPress plugins should be considered as derivate works and should be distributed accordingly. Im happy to pay for the support though… at least once

GPL Doesn’t mean FREE as in FREE beer which I quote from the GNU website:

“Free software” is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of “free” as in “free speech,” not as in “free beer.”

Free software is a matter of the users’ freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software. More precisely, it means that the program’s users have the four essential freedoms:

The freedom to run the program, for any purpose (freedom 0).

The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to make it do what you wish (freedom 1). Access to the source code is a precondition for this.

The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor (freedom 2).

The freedom to distribute copies of your modified versions to others (freedom 3). By doing this you can give the whole community a chance to benefit from your changes. Access to the source code is a precondition for this.

So with that in mind they are distributed accordingly!

Yah, this is a very cool plugin. I think the price of the plugin is quite reasonable considering the time it will save from hacking each individual file.

But it says advance menu won’t work with IE or older browsers. Is it just the admin interface or the hidden menus will pop up in IE? Anyone has any experience with pro version?
