Admin of recently migrated site performance is VERY slow

Admin of recently migrated site performance is VERY slow. I have recently migrated a site to WPMUDEV host and I am working to finalize settings so that I may update dns. However, my admin interface is incredibly slow, and I don’t know why. (like it took about 2-3 minutes for an update to post to my homepage SEO Crawler settings)

I was using WP Rocket for caching, but that plugin is disabled. The only updates I made to the site after it was migrated was to disable several plugins that aren’t needed anymore due to wpmudev having that functionality.

    Hi jw_ink,

Hope you are doing good today.

We gave a closer look regarding this, and the issue is more specific to the high number of database queries being called in your website which is slowing down the dashboard.

This could be due to numerous reasons, ie could be an existing plugin or too many unwanted meta values still present in the database after deleting unused plugins etc

To start with, you can check whether deactivating the whole plugins in your system and flush the Object cache in the WPMU DEV Hosting page, under “Tools” tab, and see whether you still notice the same lag in the dashboard.

If not, enable the plugins one-by-one, and check on activating which exact plugin you are noticing the issue.

Optimizing the DB in general should help, you might find the following articles helpful:
