Any polls that work with WPMU?

I have tried Democracy and PowPoll, but couldn’t get either of them to work.

Any suggestions for something I can use as a premium poll plugin for offering to my supporters?

Thanks,

Kirk

    That’s the dilemma.

I have a thing from DWSurvey that will let me create and host Ajax polls, but I need to see if it allows multiple users.

It’s actually pretty slick, in that it handles all kinds of polls, surveys, quizzes, and such. Even with paths and questions dependent upon the prior answer..

Although … it’s a pain to learn and support is non-existent.

Could make up my mind which thread to post my response in regarding survery and polls — so gone with this one.

As some one who supports a large number of bloggers across our Edublogs platforms I can assure you that features like a Poll and/or survey plugins definitely isn’t on their list of why they choose competitors over us.

PollDaddy does work well for those that want to embed polls or surveys.

Give them a good product, with great support and service — then it doesn’t matter if they have to create accounts with someone else to access third party applications they won’t leave you for that reason.

Just to throw this out, we use Gamerz wp-polls plugin:

Please remember that if you offer something high end like this to your users, you;re going to have to offer docs and support yourself to your endusers.

Good point Dr Mike re-“offer something high end like this to your users, you’re going to have to offer docs and support yourself to your end users” — writing the documentation and providing the support can be very time consuming.

Which is why I was hoping to find a good solution here that worked well with WPMU. There are lots of self-hosted polls that can be integrated into WP, but the only one I’ve found that even targeted WPMU was PowPoll and it didn’t work.

    Back with another question …

I happened to remember an open source poll script from some years ago, phpESP (php Easy Survey & Polling), which, if memory serves me right, offered multi-user ability.

My thinking is that I can create a method for users to create accounts and create their own surveys, and then use the links that the script generates to embed a survey into a text widget, post or page.

That being said, my question is … What are the coding restrictions that would have to be met in order for a blogger to use this? Could the blogger insert some level of PHP or CGI into their page, post or widget? Can they insert an iFrame to include the survey? Where can I get eddicated about this type of stuff?

    Etc., etc., etc.
