[Beehive Pro] GA4 with GTM tags only?

Created a new website for a client. Set up a GA4 profile and connected it to GTM. I want them to be able to see their stats in their dashboard. Seems simple enough, however…

1. Unless I’m mistaken, the only way to show stats is to use the Google Account login feature, correct? Simply providing a GTM code won’t do it. However, if I add both the Google Account AND GTM code, can I be assured that Beehive won’t send duplicate stats to Google?

2. It’s a new website, and GA4 is the new analytics. So I didn’t set up a UA property at all. However, when I login to Google with Beehive I’m forced to choose a UA property, so it defaults to another customer’s UA property and would be totally confusing (not to mention a privacy violation) to pull in analytics from an unassociated website. Can I connect Google and ONLY hook up GA4? If not, why not? Thanks!

I’ve been using Site Kit by Google for setting up GA4 until Beehive makes some improvements. I thought why not go to the source Google for analytics and use their plugin. GA4 setup was seamless and I’m able to setup client as an owner/admin as well. Site Kit is GDPR compliant. So no issues there. Clients can remove me at any time and are fully aware that I setup and have access. Hope this answers some of your questions. I’d like to hear more responses on how others are using Beehive or another analytics plugin for GA4.

    Hi Teddy ,

Trust you are doing good and thank you for reaching out to us.

Yes, that is correct and doing so will not send duplicate stats to Google as the GA4 code is configured only once in the source code. You can verify this by checking the source code of the web page.

Our developers are aware of this and are already working on a fix. A fix for this will be released with one of our upcoming updates as soon as possible. I am extremely sorry about the inconvenience caused by this.

    Kind Regards,
