Blog Avatars?

I’ve done some digging, and want to be sure I’m correct:

Buddypress as is does not natively allow for blog avatars to be set.

The Avatars premium plugin does allow for blog avatar creation, but is not compatible with a Buddypress install.

So as of now, there are no solutions to have blog avatars with Buddypress?

Or am I missing something? Thanks as always!

    imho…that’s a weak link in the chain. i am trying to create a business based community. logo branding is a crucial element in creating appeal for the multiple-user website/blog. the ability to show a logo in the blog directory, on lists and special postings would support brand exposure.

    I agree with you but I’m afraid we have to work with what BuddyPress gives us. We don’t have any say in the development of BuddyPress.

    Technically we could create a blog avatar plugin for BP but we would not be able to display those avatars on the BP blogs directory pages. So creating a plugin wouldn’t really solve the problem.

    This really needs to be brought up as a BP issue.

    Note that the blog author could always set their logo as their user avatar.
