BP-Corporate theme- Posted with and without html pagination: ,/p>

Hi,

I added my first post which I see on the home page and the blog page.

I used the HTML editor to add the post and used <p>yadda yadda</p> for the paragraphs.

This pagination works in the blog but not on the home page. Why Not?

What am I doing? I ceratainly don’t know what I’m doing.

Kind Regards,

Larry

    Hi,

Ouch, not “pagination”, I meant to say that paragraph html tags are not recognized. Seems no html tags will be recognized.

I can use the visual editor to fix this up for now, but my preference is to have the control of the post’s html/css.

The actual problem is that I don’t knwo where to add introductory text to the home page.

    – The featured post is not the place because it is going to change.

    – The welcome messege is good for a short one line or so, because it to does not recognise my paragraphs either.

BTW, is it possible to use Blogjet for posts?

    Kind regards,

    Larry

    Hiya,

I can use the visual editor to fix this up for now, but my preference is to have the control of the post’s html/css.

It’s rather common for themes to strip HTML when displaying posts in locations other than the post page.

The actual problem is that I don’t knwo where to add introductory text to the home page.

Will a text widget work for what you want to do?

BTW, is it possible to use Blogjet for posts?

You can use any blog client as long as it supports WordPress.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    Hi,

It may be common to strip the HTML to avoid it causing problems, but it this case it won’t work for me to have my home page, the first page new users will see, having poorly formatted text jumbled into one pile w/o pages.

I was hoping it would at least respect the WYSIWYG blank lines seperating paragraphs.

My first task has been to understand how to work the CSS and get a layout I can use. Would a BP theme with a child permit me more flexibility with the Home page layout? It seems child themes are provide to permit me to make changes w/o impacting the theme for upgrades. I picked the corporate theme because it had a lot of differnent areas on the page to with which to work.

Not sure how a text widget would work. Would it permit me to add text in place of the welcome text or replace the featured article with my text?

    Kind Regards,

    Larry
