[Branda Pro] Sidebar visibility

0

The ability to control who can see it in the sidebar.

You guys have a future already built into the WPMU DEV plugin that handles this functionality.

I wanted to bring it to your attention again incase that was an oversight.

Would you not be able to use it as well to accomplish this goal?

Please see link for screenshot of feature in which I am referring to.

    Hi Daniel Canup ,

Trust that you are doing well today.

We checked your given example and we want to inform you that there is actually a Permission option on Branda Pro plugin which hides it for those users you have not granted necessary permission. You can find it under Branda Pro > Settings > Permissions. You can check more detail about that as well here. Can you check if this is your requirement?

Yes, thank you for the response in the information. I was actually more so referring to how you can limit visibility to that particular plug-in on the side bar. I know this is something that has been addressed and brought to the roadmap. But reading the text and considering what it said, it hides that plug-in from the selected user or user type. So I was referring to using the same functionality for the Branda Pro plug-in. Because currently I cannot hide it from the sidebar when I make other admin users.

Because I don’t want other admin users messing with the Branda settings.

    Hi Daniel Canup ,

Thanks for providing these additional details.

So we can say that the request aims to hide Branda Pro to other admin users. Upon checking, we actually do have an existing improvement task for this. I will make sure to add this as another request to that to keep our team informed. Note though that there is no specific ETA that can be shared as of now. You can monitor future updates/releases by checking the Roadmap’s page here.

For the meantime and if you really need it now, a possible workaround (but may be complex) would be to create another user role (e.g using User Role Editor plugin) and re-assign all admins that should not have access to Branda to that role. This should hide Branda Pro for that custom admin role as long as you don’t give access to that custom admin role under Branda Pro -> Settings -> Permissions. Make sure you secure a working backup before trying the 3rd party plugin just to be safe.

    Hope this helps,

    Best Regards,
    Jasper
