BuddyPress Community Theme Configuration

Hey there.

This is all new still… Getting there very quickly though, and really appreciating the help on this forum, thanks.

I’m testing Buddypress Community Theme with BP1.0.3. and dont want it on my home page, just on the BP pages.

This seemed to work ok until I tried to find the theme settings panel to do some configuring of the Community Theme. Only when the Community theme was activated at the home blog level that I was able to view the options settings.

Is there a way around this? I really just want the BP theme running in the background, whilst maintaining my current look across the other parts of the site.

I’m holding off on upgrading to BP1.1 until it fully released and you guys have upgraded your themes to suit as well. However, any advice in the meantime would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

    Hiya,

Is there a way around this?

The theme options will only be available if the theme is active on the main blog itself. That’s just how WP/WPMU works so I’m afraid there’s really not a way around that.

I’m holding off on upgrading to BP1.1 until it fully released and you guys have upgraded your themes to suit as well.

All current BP themes will work just fine with BP 1.1. We’ll definitely be updating our BP themes for the new theme architecture but since the current themes will still work just fine we won’t have the new themes available the day BP 1.1 is released.

    Thanks,

    Andrew
