Can not change to my domain in config

I migrated a site to WPMU Hosting using shipper-1.0.0-beta.14 and it worked great. But now I need to change my wp-config.php file to setup the proper DOMAIN name, But after I do that, I’m getting a “database cannot establish connection” error. What do I need to do?

    Hi Sam ,

Everything should be working properly now. I’ve checked the database + config entries and the website should be working as expected. The primary domain name value in wp-config was also commented out and that would be causing issues as well.

In your Hosting -> domain -> Accounts, you will find 2 wpmudev accounts that I’ve used to check your configurations. Please feel free to remove them whenever you like.

    Sorry for this inconvenience.

    Regards,

Hi – I’m glad you told me that you removed the commented-out DOMAIN line, as I need to add that back. See, what happened to cause my site to go haywire in the first place, I think, was the fact the original support person (I forget his name) switched domains directly in the database tables, but without knowing the underlying reason for the incorrect injection of the wrong domain.

It turns out that the reason was due to the fact that I’m using the WP Multi-Network plugin Version 2.2.0. The domain setup of my networks needed to be manually changed to correct the problem (the migrations changed the domains, as the intended DNS had not yet been configured). So yeah, in the future, you’re going to run into migrations-gone-haywire under the following circumstances:

    1) desired DNS not configured at destination BEFORE shipper migration (default server DNS)

    2) site has WP Multi-Network plugin active

    Thank you,

    Sam
