Can't send emails with Contact Form 7 from WPMU DEV hosting

I’m trying to set up a contact form using WPCF7, but emails from my site don’t get send due to an error “SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting”

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    I checked your site and it seems there’s something wrong with your SMTP configuration. I see that you’re using Branda plugin to enable SMTP and that’s fine. However, no connection can be made using specified credentials and that doesn’t seem to be related to the host and the site itself.

    I checked this on a separate, default WP setup with only Twenty Ninteen theme, on a different host (not related to us) and the issue is the same – credentials are reported as wrong.

    That would mean that most likely one of following things is invalid: SMTP host, port number, username or password. Could you please double-check these?

    Also, could you temporarily disable SMTP module in Branda and see if those e-mails are there sent properly? Without SMTP they will be sent from “WPMU DEV Hosting address” only so I understand that you don’t want them that way but please give it a try just to test and let me know if that way it works for you.
