CustomPress Post Types for specific Supporter packages?

0

Hello,

I need something like this, could you help me if it doesn’t require much time?:

I have created some post types with CustomPress and want to assign 1 post type to Supporter level “Pro”, and second post type to Supporter level “Super Pro”.

Talking about new version of Supporter of course, as it has this multi-level support.

Is this possible?

One more question related to CustomPress:

I have created custom post type – Hotels, which will let users to add hotel (for their travel agency sites for example). So I need to insert some codes in theme file to show that additional fields and taxonomies. This is standard way, but I have just discovered “Create template file for:” field and have such question – this means that it will create additional .php file with same template as post has, so if I create this files for every theme in my Network, this means that every theme will support adding of Hotels.

Tell me if you haven’t understand well what I’ve just explained here.

Thank you!

    Hiya,

We’ll take a look at this idea. I’m gonna move it to feature suggestions and feedback

    As to your question:

This is standard way, but I have just discovered “Create template file for:” field and have such question – this means that it will create additional .php file with same template as post has, so if I create this files for every theme in my Network, this means that every theme will support adding of Hotels.

That is correct. You’ll need it for any theme using the hotel post type.

What is CustomPress’s feature – Revisions? (this is checkbox while adding post type). What it does?

WordPress tracks post revisions that you can compare to each other. This allows you to turn this on or off for each custom post type.

Any +1s for custompress supporter integration?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks. Maybe it is possible to integrate CustomPress with Supporter in this way still (while Supporter 3.0 stable version is came out). I mean, Supporter beta version is changing very dynamically and it would be great if you integrate this while it’s still in beta version.

Any +1s for custompress supporter integration?

I think most of users prefer to open their own threads and very few of them will see this message :slight_frown:

Anyway I can explain why this will be good, not good – fascinating!

    Talking about my example:

I am running WP Network and waiting for Supporter 3.0 stable versions, because I am going to create several premium packages using Supporter, which will let users to create different types of sites. For example – you know that CustomPress is plugin for turning WP in CMS, so I am creating various post types (let’s call them modules, as on standard CMS) and this modules let users to build whatever they want.

But there are two thing of CustomPress settings – one is to let every user create their own post types which is absolutely confusing for them, and second one is to activate all post types for all sites. Here is problem – if user wants to create books catalogue, (s)he will use books module (which I will create with CustomPress) of course, but (s)he won’t need other modules to be display in menu too – for example Games, Music and so on.

This is why I ask you to integrate this two plugins, or at least these two functions of these two plugins – after that I’ll be able to create different packages. One will include books module, second one will include games and so on.

    Hiya,

I changed it to supporter for ya

I will say that this idea has come up during development for supporter, but I can’t confirm that it will actually make it into the 3.0 version. We do recognize the enhancement it can provide and will look into it.
