Defender Crashing the Server

I’ve been alerted by my hosting company about several websites that have 100’s of crons running over an hour (site above had 903 cron requests in an hour). On checking, it looks like Defender is one of the busy crons. Can this be fixed? Thank you in advance.

    I have escalated this issue to the development team, they will be checking this further and come up with a solution.

    Hi Gary ,

    Sorry to hear about that. It seems like the issue noticed on your website was reported with Defender version 2.2.3.

    We have released a patch in Defender version 2.2.4 which should help with fixing such anomalies. Could you please update Defender to the latest version and check whether you still notice any issues regarding this?

    If your host is able to replicate any further issue with version 2.2.4, then please do provide any steps on what exact action you notice the issue? is it with running the Scan or accessing any specific page that you notice such an issue.
