[Defender] hotlinking feature

WPMU DEV Hosting does not offer a feature to prevents hotlinking. Please consider such feature in Defender.

    I hope you’re fine!

    The feature is still on a list but I don’t have an ETA.

    There’s quite a long list of various new features, improvements and bug fixes and our Defender Team must in some way prioritize development cycles. I’m aware it’s been quite some time already but it also wasn’t really much requested (this is pretty much one of the very very few requests for this) and I’m not sure when it will get there.

    I can confirm, though, that it still is on a list of future features so pleas keep an eye on the plugin’s roadmap and if it’s about to be added, it should be announced there:

        Thank you for your feedback.

        Yes, it is “still on the list” and it actually did not really have much of support from the community – very very little Member expressed any demand for that.

        It doesn’t mean it won’t ever be implemented but that it’s not really a priority thing.

        As for this:

        it’s more beneficial for WPMUDEV when the bandwidth gets eaten up on other sites so your CDN service makes more money?

        I understand your frustration but this feature suggestion arose due to WPMU DEV Hosting not having hot-linking protection.

        So please note that we do not limit bandwidth on our hosting – no site hosted with us is ever blocked or limited due to reaching bandwidth limits and there’s even no option to buy additional bandwidth.
