[Defender Pro] Audit Log Export – export does not reflect modified date range

I was trying to search through Defender’s Audit Logs, to find out which of my site Admin’s made a setting change in WooCommerce. Since adjusting the “items per page” isn’t possible, and as I have about 30 pages (even after filtering), I tried to export the Audit log to CSV format.

I tried exporting a few times, using different settings… but every time, it would only export the last 7 days to the CSV.

Sadly, the site is SO active that using the Audit Log page to search for the needle in the haystack is totally unrealistic. It would be soooo time consuming to find this specific item, as I don’t have a specific date to look at.

…I’d have to assume that this is a glitch?

While I’m on the topic, a nice Audit Log feature would be to filter out log items by Plugin (similar to the newish feature in Hummingbird Assets).

Defender’s Audit Logs, IMO, as still waaaay behind where they should be. From my experience, searching for anything “in particular” is still painfully slow to narrow down. …can y’all please give it some love and attention? We’d all really appreciate it

    Hello splaquet !

Thank you for reporting the issue to us. I’ve checked and there seems to be an issue in general with the CSV export that developers are already aware of. I’ve created an additional task to check that and provide a fix for the issue you’re experiencing.

As for the additional filtering option, I’ve shared your insight with the developers and designers of Defender for consideration. Seems like a good idea to me, especially on larger sites. If they approve, I’ll create a feature request to be added to Defender’s backlog for inclusion in future release.

    Kind regards,
    Pawel
