[Defender Pro] Cannot download GEO IP database in Defender PRO

Hi there.
I try to activate the IP banning for locations, so I have to download the GEO IP database first. But when I click the button to download I return to the same screen where I get the message that I need to download it first to activate the locations IP banning. So the download is not working here.

    The GeoLite2 has changed their structure and the way they share the IPs. In the next Defender Pro update, this issue will be fixed.

    As of now, we will have to install the Geo IP Database on your website to make it work.

    For that, I would require FTP & WP-Admin credentials to do the needful.
    I would request you to please go through the form below & send the details.

        Hey Leon,

        As confirmed from the devs, the patch has not been released on the plugin yet, I would suggest you please try the patch I have provided below instead.

        I have attached a Zip file ( Please check attachments ) while extracting you will get 2 files –

        1. geo-ip-database-fix.php
        2. maxmind folder

        You will require FTP access to your website to do the below tasks:

        Copy the geo-ip-database-fix.php file in /wp-content/mu-plugins folder (create one if not already there)

        Copy the maxmind folder in wp-content/uploads/wp-defender

        Now go to :
        Defender > IP Lockouts >IP Banning > IP Locations

        You should see a Dropdown with the list of countries to Blacklist/Whitelist.

        [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

        Also we don’t publish an ETA to prevent disappointment if a deadline is missed(which in plugin development quite a frequent occurrence!).
