[Defender Pro] Defender Alerts, How do we recognize false alarms?

Hi, Defender gives occasional flags for suspicious files found under directories of trustworthy plugins, in this case W3 total cache. Is this something to worry about? How do I figure out the false alarms from actual alerts?

class.soap_transport_http.php /var/web/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/lib/Nusoap/class.soap_transport_http.php

Thank you

    Hi there Johneh Shankar

    Thanks for contacting us!

I totally understand that it’s inconvenient to have a warning about suspicious functions or codes, but it’s for the safety of your own site. So you can ignore all of them if you are 100% sure about the purpose and usage of those functions in those files. Those warnings should not stop any functionality of your website. Or, if you have a very clear idea about the code in all the themes and plugins of your site, you can also disable all three scan types by going to your website Dashboard > Defender Pro > File Scanning > Settings section.

    Hope this helps.

Please let me know if you have any further comments.

    Regards,
    Jacobo.
