    Hello James Squires

This is a false positive and you can ignore this. Defender searches for codes which can be used for bad activities, so it asks you to confirm with the plugin author.

In snapshot there are such codes and we are aware of that. This code is from third party library which is used in snapshot for FTP module. We have checked the code before using in snapshot and can confirm that the code is clean. So, feel free to ignore the warning

I hope it helps! Please feel free to ask if you have any more questions regarding this.

    Cheers,
    Ash

The whole point of bringing it up is that we are warned by each and every one of our web sites that there is a problem. If you know the problem exists then why not exempt that portion of the code from getting scanned? We have more than 50 web sites and adding more all the time so having to ignore the same issue so many times seems to be counterproductive.

We have had issues (that we have posted in the past) with installing and updating snapshot in the past. On most of the sites that had these issues we simple removed it. It may be easier for us to just remove snapshot from all sites until such time that it stops warning us with false positives.

Thanks for your help as always.
