[Defender Pro] Defender Scan stuck via site and hub.

I have 3 sites on your Hub and the one won’t scan since I added it, haven’t tried the others yet. If I try to do a security scan from the hub it gives me a server 500 error. If I try to scan on the site itself it gets to 33.33% and just sits there.

    There was a PHP error message in the server logs:
    PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes)
    I’ve already edited the wp-config.php file and added the following lines

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
    define('WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');

    and File Scanning progress successfully now.

    If they are located on the same server, they will most probably have the same setup, so they will be getting the same issue. Give it a try and insert the same lines above the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ comment in wp-config.php and let us know if that didn’t fix it.

    The sites seem to all be scanning ok, I haven’t finished them all but so far so good. I just found 2 other problems. The first was 2 of my sites have security tweaks that won’t go away and it’s always 3 of them, not matter how many times you action it to put it into place when you move to another page and come back the 3 of them are there. Secondly the scan on the hub says everything is fine and no problems then you go to the site and see results with malicious code that the hub never picked up.

    Do I need to create new tickets for this?

    Is there any caching plugin active or/end server cache is enabled? In this case, try to apply the tweaks again, purge server cache and deactivate a caching plugin. See if the tweaks remain applied to your site.

    If not, please let us know on what site you have this issue? And please grant support access to your site so we could have a closer look.

    This can happen due to caching on the Hub. Cache on the Hub is cleared every 15 minutes. So there can be 15 minutes delay before the actual results will be shown.

    If you referring to the jobs-live.domain.co.za site, there are security issues shown on the Hub already. Please check if these are shown on your end.

    cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 55001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    It is possible that the Hub could not reach/ping your site at that moment. There can be a server firewall or something else is blocking the hub from connecting to your site. Please go to your site’s wp-admin with this issue and try to run File Scanning there.

    Usually, this is a temporary erorr and it resolves quite quickly. If the issue still persists on the Hub, please let us know which site you’re trying to scan so we could have a closer look.

    I have deleted W3 Total Cache which was on a few of my sites but my site for example elite.ldpdevelopment.co.za is still not refreshing once the tweak has been done. How would I go about purging the server cache?

    If you are able to hop on and have a look at why the tweaks aren’t going away I would be truly grateful.

    I can’t find this site in your connected domains at the moment.
    Is there any other domain that needs attention?
    Also, if this is only about the security tweaks of Defender , can you please create a new topic about it or come find us in our live chat service? As this topic has another title, we’re keen not mixing up different issues as this makes it more difficult for us to follow and other staff members to get involved.
