[Defender Pro] Email notification of plugins that SHOULD BE updated

When i login to a website admin area in WordPress, Defender Pro HIGHLIGHTS plugins that are outdated AND that have security warnings. Can’t you set up an email notification for when that security warning is triggered so i can skip logging into sites to discover the outdated security issue.

    Hi jason ,

    The Defender does send email notifications regarding vulnerabilities and issues after each scan. You’ll have to ensure you have the “Malware Scanning – Notification” enabled under Defender Pro > Notifications.

    To ensure you get such notifications in a timely manner, you could set up scheduled scanning under Defender Pro > Malware Scanning > Settings > Scheduled Scanning.

    Could you please check and see whether the above fits your requirements? Or do you only need vulnerabilities to get sent?

    ok this is super helpful. i just want vulnerabilities to be sent. i found this notification but it seems to be overkill because it will report on anything it considers to be malware i guess. how can i get a notice just when plugins are out of date AND security risks.

    I hope you are doing well, and thank you for the update.

    I am sorry but there is no option to control the identified issues on the “Malware Scanning – Notification” or “Malware Scanning – Reporting” emails.

    However, there is a workaround. From WP Admin >> Defender Pro >> Malware Scanning >> Settings >> Scan Types, you can disable the “File change detection” and the “Suspicious code” options and enable only the “Known vulnerabilities“. Now Defender Pro will only send known vulnerability issues.
