[Defender Pro] Notify My Phone

Any chance we could see a notify your phone when a site goes down? I am trying to replace a current service that has that feature.

Another way to approach this is to give Uptime an email address that is processed by automation. Use IFTTT, Zapier, Tasker, or other apps or services that receive email or which check an authorized email account. When that account receives an email with specific text, have it send a SMS.

I can create this service for WPMU DEV clients for Uptime, Defender, and to process other notifications (SMS as well as Slack, Skype, Discord, and other channels). But it would absolutely not be free since there can be a cost of a few pennies per transaction for higher quality and global SMS, and some server resources would be required.

    Hi Tony,

Just a quick tip here, I’ve done this except instead of using Zapier to push to SMS, I push it to PushBullet/PushOver (in one case) and Slack in another. There are Apps on the phone (free) that receive a notification which then pops up on my phone. So not SMS but as good as and All free.

Just a note I am using this with Office 365/Outlook, which has server rules to move certain emails to certain folders. Zapier then monitors those folders for new mail which then triggers the PushBullet/PushOver message.

    Regards
