[Defender Pro] Rate Limiting

Hi, I have a client interested in enabling rate limiting on their site to protect from DDos attacks. I noticed Defender does not have this feature and just limits some basic things like 404s hit and login attempts.

    Thanks for the request. We had a previous request already about extending firewall with rate limiting mechanism. I want to let you know that our Defender team is actively working on the improvements. However, we currently do not have any significant updates to share at this time.

    I hope things are going well for you.

    Do you have an expected delivery date on that feature?

    I understand your concern. However, before releasing the feature, several major factors must be addressed, including planning and designing a prototype, integrating with the hub, organizing the coding phase, writing code, checking for conflicts with existing products or services, and gathering feedback from both the development and management teams on how to improve the feature. Additionally, there will be a QA process to evaluate the feature against every possible condition across multiple sites for any errors or issues that must be resolved. Once this feedback is received, the product team (Product Manager, Assistant, Developer, QA, and designer) will collaborate to enhance the feature.

    Due to the abovementioned factors, we cannot commit to an estimated release time for this feature.

    Our client will likely move away from Defender Pro if we can’t give them a date of delivery.

    Your request has already been passed on to the development team’s attention. We will let you know if we get any updates from the team.
