[Defender Pro] reCAPTCHA network wp-admin wp-login and WooCommerce ready

0

Are there any plans to add Google reCAPTCHA to defender? So I can add a security layer to my wp-admin, wp-login and WooCommerce pages. The plugins that do deliver that have conflicts with other plugins or are not multisite friendly.

    Hello there Django

This has been requested before but it hasn’t made it to Defender’s roadmap yet. I’m adding your request as well as this could change the priority of the task.

Meanwhile, you can mask the login URL and use some 2FA. On top of that, you can use a custom login/registration form using Forminator which already provides a reCaptcha integration.

    Thank you,
    Dimitris

    Hi Dimitris
The forminator forms are great, I use them a lot, but not suitable for my network login, since with domain mapping I have to have many custom login pages.

Kindly point out that this is a reCAPTCHA request for network setups. No that I need to put a reCAPTCHA on site level login pages.
Also, the WooCommerce login seems to be featured that is hard to get without bringing a lot of other stuff to your website pages.

The best example that I found was the Wordfence Login Security plugin. Free, works great on network level. But no WooCommerce support. I noticed that they don’t actively support the plugin.

Looking forward to seeing more updates coming,

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep an eye on the woocommerce recaptcha https://woocommerce.com/products/recaptcha-for-woocommerce/ but at the moment it’s not yet compatible with v3 invisible reCAPTCHA. My preferred setting.

And free plugins with one third bad reviews are a bit risky to try. I tested other free plugins for recaptcha and woocommerce and I found out that they conflicted with Forminator reCaptcha. And the sad thing is that it took me a long time to find out that Forminator could not send the contact forms any more …. Seems to be a risky business.

The Free Wordfence login security will be on my watch list too. Although in the long run do I hope that Defender will defend my site with reCAPTCHA settings

+1 for reCaptcha in WP Defender

Along with missing reCaptcha and a lack of support for other 2 FA apps ( I know this coming at the end of May ) I can’t swap out iThemes Security for WP Defender just yet.

I don’t want to have to add additional reCaptcha plugins when my current security solution already has this. The Forminator workaround, also wouldn’t work for me.

Keep up the awesome work with this plugin!

    Kind regards,

    Simon
